SPECIALIZING IN VISUAL CONTENT CREATION

I photograph as a means to remember. To remember places but also to capture moments and sentiments of what I'm experiencing and feeling. It's not uncommon that John Lennon's lyrics to "In My Life" run through my mind when I'm going about with my camera.

There are places I'll remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain...

Photographing people going about their lives and places where people are or have been are my two main interests, thought not limited to them. Maybe like some of my favorite photographers, I try to seek and capture those fleeting and unguarded moments of how people really are.

The works of Bill Brandt, Diane Arbus, Robert Doisneau, Elliott Erwitt, Robert Frank, and Inge Morath and others inspire me. I draw from the way they capture human expression, plus the ways they put together the interplay of light, shadow and reflection. I'm a trained artist working in photography. I've also worked in printmaking, and often seek to bring out lithographic techniques in my photographs.

I live with my family in the world's most culturally diverse neighborhood – Queens, New York, and can usually be spotted wearing a cap and with my little Sony camera slung across my chest.
